NEXTGEN CCIO & CIO BURSARY PROGRAMME

NextGen Bursary

The NextGen CCIO and CIO Bursary Programme has been created to help identify, promote and support emerging digital leaders seeking personal growth in CCIO and CIO roles within the UK digital health and care sector.

The introduction of the bursary programme, sponsored by Salesforce, will help foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange among future digital leaders to encourage innovation and best practice sharing.

We are pleased to announce that we are able to provide 10 aspiring or recently in post Chief Clinical Information Officer’s (CCIO) and 10 aspiring or recently in post Chief Information Officer’s (CIO), who are members of the Digital Health Networks, with a bursary to cover the cost of attending Summer Schools 2024, which will take place in Durham this year.

The programme is open to future digital leaders UK-wide and will include:

  • A place at the Digital Health Summer Schools which includes two-days access to the event, on site accommodation, and an evening social.
  • A reception evening on 17 July 2024 (Summer Schools pre-event).
  • Dedicated sessions at Summer Schools 18-19 July 2024

Applications for the NextGen CCIO & CIO Bursary Programme are now open. Applications are open until Friday 3 May, 12noon.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply for the bursary?
The bursary scheme is now closed for applications.

How will the bursary be applied?
On receiving news that you have been successful for a bursary, you will be provided additional information including how the bursary will be applied for you to obtain an FOC ticket for Digital Health Summer Schools.

When will I be notified of the decision?
You will be notified of the outcome of the bursary application w/c 20 May 2024.

What if I am awarded a bursary and am unable to attend?
If you are unable to attend, you must notify the Digital Health team ASAP as we can provide this to someone else who applied for a place. Your place can be deferred to the next year. If you do not attend and do not notify us you will be liable for a £100 charge to cover admin costs.
