Arjun Dhillon /

Arjun is a General Practitioner and lives and works in Ealing, London. After graduating from University College London in 2003, he undertook medical training and gained MRCP in 2007. He then retrained as a GP, gaining MRCGP in 2009. He has postgraduate diplomas in Medical Education and Healthcare Informatics.

In 2009, Arjun became a Managing Partner at the Argyle Health Group, where he leads a team caring for 21,000 patients. The practice has won multiple awards including BMJ Primary Care Team of the Year in 2015 and Clinical Team of the Year in 2016. His clinical interest lies in Care Homes Medicine.

Arjun has worked in local commissioning, being Clinical Lead for Prescribing, Ophthalmology, Infectious Diseases, IT & Diagnostics, and a member of the Ealing CCG Governing Board until 2017.

In the past, Arjun has held national professional leadership roles as both the Deputy & Chair of the RCGP Health Informatics Group and the Co–Deputy & Chair of the Joint GP IT Committee. He is a member of the British Computer Society and is a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics. He was Clinical Director & Caldicott Guardian at NHS Digital until it merged with NHS England. He is now Interim Deputy Chief Clinical Information Officer at NHS England.
He has worked across Privacy, Legal, Transparency, Ethics, Data and Clinical Domains at National level. He became Chair of the UK Caldicott Guardian Council in 2021 and sits on the National Data Guardian’s Panel.

Throughout his career, he has held an interest in the application of information systems to healthcare problems. He has an interest in system design and how to translate technology into practice for the benefit of patients.
