Chief Allied Health Professional (AHP) NHS England – Midlands
Gordon is a qualified Physiotherapist and has worked in the NHS for over 19 years. He has a wealth of clinical, operational and leadership experience and has worked across a wide variety of sectors including primary, acute and tertiary care and arm’s length bodies.

Gordon is the Regional Chief AHP for NHS England in the Midlands having taken on the role to support the regional AHP response to the covid 19 pandemic. Gordon has strategic oversight of the regional AHP agenda and the delivery of the AHP Strategy – AHPs deliver in the Midlands. He is passionate about developing leadership capability in others, especially across the AHP professions. Gordon sponsors the Midlands AHP Informatics & Digital Network and is keen to ensure AHPs across the region are at the forefront of the future digital agenda. He is keen to see more AHPs develop in CCIO roles, working alongside their multi-professional colleagues.
