I am a registered nurse with a clinical background in neonatal nursing.  My positions have been staff nurse, ward manager and matron through to the role of Chief Nursing Informatics Officer. I have been a CNIO in 3 organisations over the last 8 years, working with varied providers and supporting 3 go lives. I am involved in regional and national groups supporting the digital nursing profile.  I am  passionate about ensuring nurses have an equal voice in the digital arena to ensure that information systems support nursing and allow more time for patient care, thereby reducing risk and improving quality and safety.
