After spending six years at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Mandy gained experience at a local, regional and national level at a variety of provider, commissioner and regulator organisations over the course of 28 years.
In July 2018, Mandy was appointed as the first System Chief Operating Officer for Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust, where she was instrumental in improving operational delivery across the system and embedding the first phase of integrated care communities.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mandy went on secondment as NHS England and Improvement’s System Chief Operating Officer for East of England.
In January 2020, Mandy joined the Integrated Care System (ICS) for the Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough ICS’s as Executive System Chief Operating Officer, to support their transition to the next phase of ICS development.
In November 2020, Mandy was appointed Chief Executive of Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington and Altrincham Hospitals, where she led various large-scale transformation, innovation and improvement programmes.
In May 2022, Mandy was appointed as the Chief Delivery Officer of the NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board (ICB), which forms part of the Birmingham and Solihull ICS.
In her new role, Mandy will ensure high quality and equitable patient care is delivered by collaborative system partners whilst also supporting the system’s goals of enhancing productivity and value for money.
