Lisa Ward is Associate Director of Nursing (Patient Safety) and Chief Nursing Information Officer at Co Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust, and is a 2020 Florence Nightingale Digital Leadership Scholar. Prior to moving into her current role, she spent most of her career in emergency care and patient deterioration. She is passionate about ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe and effective patient care and harnessing digital technology to support this. Lisa has a special interest in mobile technology to enable staff to do everything required at the patient’s bedside, or on the move, eliminating the burden of being tied to desk top computers.
