Dr Saif Ahmed is a senior clinical leader in digital transformation, serving as Clinical Digital Transformation Lead at Health Innovation Manchester and Associate Medical Director for Digital at Tameside and Glossop ICFT. A practising GP with deep expertise in systemâwide digital change, Saif is known for shaping and delivering innovation that improves patient outcomes, empowers clinical teams, and strengthens the resilience of the NHS. He has been instrumental in the development of the GM Care Record, ensuring it supports realâtime clinical decisionâmaking and integrated care across the region. Saif has clinically led the rollout of digital care plans across endâofâlife care, frailty, dementia, and heart failure, as well as major programmes in remote monitoring, deterioration tracking, and pointâofâcare diagnostics. At Tameside and Glossop ICFT, he has pioneered the Digital Health Service, advanced Virtual Ward models, and championed citizen empowerment through the My GM Care app. Nationally, Saif is recognised for his thought leadership in AI governance, interoperability, and digital strategy, regularly contributing to discussions on the future of urgent care, longâterm conditions, and population health.
