From transactional to transformational: building better NHS-supplier partnerships

Strong NHS-supplier partnerships are critical to delivering digital transformation, but the most successful relationships go far beyond contracts and procurement processes. In this interactive workshop, Sarah Hanbridge and Amy Freeman will share practical lessons from both sides of the partnership journey – from rebuilding challenging supplier relationships and navigating difficult conversations to creating collaborative, innovation-focused partnerships that deliver long-term value.

Through case studies, audience discussion and scenario-based exercises, attendees will explore how to become a more effective customer, build confidence in supplier engagement, and develop relationships based on trust, openness and shared objectives. The session will also examine how digital leaders can work strategically with suppliers to tackle emerging challenges such as AI, transformation at place level and new models of care, helping organisations move beyond transactional relationships towards true partnership working.
