Spotlight on ICS’s: System Digital Leadership in the New World

As Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) evolve in line with the Model ICB Blueprint and the ambitions of the NHS 10-Year Plan, the role of digital leadership must also transform. In this interactive summer school session, we’ll explore what effective digital leadership looks like in a reimagined health and care landscape.

With systems redesign in motion and increasing expectations for neighbourhood based care and digital innovation, it’s time to ask:
Where should digital leadership sit in the future?
Should it be rooted at Place level, embedded within Providers, coordinated through the ICB, or driven by Regional and National bodies?

What to Expect:
Participants will work in collaborative teams to:

• Evaluate where digital authority and responsibility should reside.

• Develop practical recommendations for future-fit digital leadership structures.

• Reflect on how to align leadership with system priorities, interoperability goals, and patient-centred outcomes.

This is your opportunity to provide feedback into a roadmap for integrated, strategic digital leadership across health and care.
