Andy Callow

Andy is Chief Digital & Transformation Officer at Nottingham University Hospitals and was ranked #5 in the CIO UK 100 2022 list. As a proponent of self development, both professional and personally, he’s proud to co-chair the Midlands Digital Skills Development Network. He is also privileged to be the Executive sponsor of the NUH Race Equality and Cultural Heritage Staff Network.
Andy is part of the Executive team and his appointment was the first time the senior technology lead role has been given a place at the Board table at NUH. He has responsibility for a team of c.440 covering Digital, Information, Transformation and PMO for the Trust, which employs c.19,000 people and has a budget of c.£2bn.
Andy is a passionate public servant who sees massive potential to improve patient and staff experience using technology, but starting with understanding their user needs. He’s a believer of working in the open and seeks to tweet and blog regularly to share learning and strive to build a better NHS.
