John Mitchell

John Mitchell is Associate Director of Digital for Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board, where he provides strategic digital leadership across a complex health and care system serving more than 1.7 million people.

He leads digital transformation, interoperability, information governance and primary care digital services, working with organisations across the NHS to improve patient care through technology and collaboration.

John is Senior Responsible Owner for the Yorkshire and Humber Shared Care Record in HNY and has a strong interest in neighbourhood health, artificial intelligence, digital leadership and integrated care. Alongside his local role, he chairs the Digital Health ICS Council, and regularly contributes to national digital leadership forums.

A passionate advocate for relationship-led leadership, John believes that technology alone does not transform organisations—people do. His focus is on bringing organisations together around shared purpose to deliver lasting improvements for patients, staff and communities.
