Dorset’s CDO Beverley Bryant confirmed

One of the most experienced CIOs in leading large-scale digital initiatives in the NHS has been confirmed for Digital Health Summer Schools 2025.
Beverley Bryant is as decorated as they come in electronic health record implementations. She currently leads on digital programmes and services across three Dorset NHS trusts and is the SRO for the county’s strategic EHR programme.
She led Guy’s and St Thomas’s and Kings College Hospitals’ major transformation programme of all clinical applications and workflows, bringing IT systems together across the trusts, where she worked as joint CDIO.
Her national roles include director of digital technology for NHS England and CIO for the Department of Health as well as leading roles in private sector suppliers to the NHS.
Join Beverley on day one as she takes part a next gen workshop sharing how she is supporting aspiring digital leaders in her region. Then on day two she will join a plenary session sharing her invaluable digital transformation experience from a trust level and national perspective.
Bryant said:
“I’ve really enjoyed Summer School when I have been in the past and think it is a great forum for digital leaders, current and future, to openly discuss the issues that we all face in our organisations trying to drive digital uptake and adoption.”
“I’m bringing three of my emerging digital leaders from across Dorset this year. As we move forward with our plans to implement a strategic electronic health record across Dorset, with Somerset, they will benefit hugely from being able to chat to others who have been through the journey [and] build a wider support network…”

- Helen Balsdon, national CNIO, NHS England,
- David Walliker, CDIO, Manchester University NHS FT
