Diana Kennedy, chief technology officer of Bupa and Professor Maureen Baker, chair of the PRSB, have been confirmed as keynote speakers for Virtual Summer School 2021
Diana, who has held several IT leadership roles for major brands including BP and British Gas, will discuss how building the digital foundations at Bupa will help accelerate the organisation’s journey to the cloud. She will also explore how Bupa, which has 2.2m health insurance customers, will establish an integrated data fabric to enable interoperability.
Maureen is chair of Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) for Health and Social Care and former chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners. She will discuss how putting standards into action is now a key priority. Real benefits have been realised when standards are used: from sharing updates about covid vaccines to crucial personal information during transfers of care. Now is the time to focus on getting these rolled our more widely, to ensure the delivery of safe, consistent, personalised care across the whole of the UK.
