David Hancock
Co-Chair, INTEROPen
David is the Director and Chair of INTEROPen, an organisation dedicated to the adoption of open interoperability standards. It has been in existence for over seven years. Interoperability is a ‘ wicked’ problem, which is why INTEROPen was established to enable everyone facing issues of inadequate interoperability to collaborate on solutions. Its members include CIOs, CCIOs, CNIOs, NHS TSAS, the PRSB, standards organisations, professional bodies, techUK, and vendors. It developed the first HL7 FHIR standard in the UK, Care Connect and hosts educational events and hackathons on interoperability. Everyone who contributes their time to INTEROPen does so voluntarily.
