Alongside our CCIO, CIO and CNIO Advisory Panels, we announce the publication of the Birmingham Declaration, a statement of intent forged through the collaborative efforts of Digital Health Networks members during the Summer Schools 2023, July at the University of Birmingham. The declaration sets the stage for the Networks’ journey over the next five years, outlining a strategic focus and a comprehensive framework of priorities. The elected representatives of the Networks are dedicated to steering transformative change and advancement in three pivotal areas:

  • Digital Leadership
  • National Engagement
  • Innovation and Research

To drive these initiatives forward, the Advisory Panel members will embark on a two-year plan, marked by a series of targeted activities. At the forefront is the launch of the second cohort of the Networks Mentoring Programme which offers the opportunity to connect, learn from and receive direct guidance from senior NHS digital leaders. We invite you to join us in championing this key moment for Digital Health Networks and to get involved in the activities surrounding the Birmingham Declaration.  Stay tuned for more updates on our exciting initiatives and milestones.
