How to get here

Below is information on getting to the University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham. There are just two main locations for this year’s Summer School:

Chamberlain Hall Accommodation

This modern tower block is where our resident delegates are staying. For those arriving on Wednesday evening, this is where you collect your room key and collect your delegate pack for Summer Schools.

Teaching & Learning Building

This is the building where ALL the sessions and luncheon take place. For those arriving Thursday morning, this is where you come to register in the morning – cloakroom facilities available for those delegates staying Thursday overnight.

Chamberlain Accomodation to The Vale (for Breakfast and the Duck and Scholar Bar) – 4 mins walk.

North East Car Park to North Gate – 2 mins walk.

North Gate to Teaching and Learning Building – 2 mins walk.

North Gate to Chamberlain Accomodation – 20 mins walk.

University Station to Teaching and Learning Building – 7 mins walk.

Walk 2 minutes up the hill to the campus North Gate. Note that this car park does not have a lift.

By Rail: Get to University Station from Birmingham New Street Station. There are up to six trains an hour departing for the University on the cross-city line (10 minutes to University station from New Street, with a final destination Longbridge or Redditch). The Teaching & Learning Building is a 7-minute walk, turn left out of the main entrance of University Station.
