I am the CCIO at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and have worked in clinical informatics for 20 years at both local and national levels.
I believe that digital projects must always be driven by the priorities of both patients and clinicians, and I advocate for national data & UI standards, to support safe practice, recently illustrated by my lead role developing the beta standard for the National electronic Paediatric Early Warning Score.

CDIO – Royal Free London NHS FT
Glenn Winteringham is the Group Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL). Glenn has 35 years’ IM&T experience in the NHS, joining RFL in 2017 as CDO to lead their Global Digital Exemplar (GDE) programme, culminating in Chase Farm Hospital achieving HMISS EMRAM stage 7 in 2022

Dr Lia Ali is a doctor and digital health strategist with extensive experience across the spectrum of digital healthcare. She is passionate about ethics and safety by design, patient centred care and long term conditions including mental health and have particular interests in integrated care and medical education. She believes that delivery of exemplary healthcare requires a holistic, biopsychosocial, service design approach. Lia has done this via transformation roles in the NHS, charities & for-profit sector.
