Spotlight Breakout Session

Barbara Arroyo is the new interim chief clinical information officer at South London and Maudsley NHS trust. She has been working as a consultant psychiatrist in adult mental health for the last ten years. She was always interested in digital health from a clinical perspective and last year took the opportunity to join the digital health team in the organisation as joint deputy with a fellow colleague. During COVID she realised the potential for digital transformation and has chosen this as her career path. She is currently a fellow in the digital health London pioneer fellowship and has been offered a place on the NHS Digital Academy leadership programme starting in September 2021. She likes working with people, improving processes and care, networking with colleagues and learning in academic courses.

Rachel has worked for NHS with Midlands Partnership University FT (MPFT) since 2005 and is a professional Social worker (SWE80034). Rachel has worked in Children’s mental health over 20 years and recently moved into digital role as Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer. Her aim is to encourage inclusive, accessible digital solutions to support everyone’s mental health.
